Okay, so there was that pretty crappy video with audio of the new Mustang, but this is probably the best so far. Skip to 24:40 for start up and rev.

I'll leave this here..

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about.
Too much background.

I may have missed something, but why is it getting crushed? Like Jay said, these concepts/prototypes are a big part of automotive history.
It does sound absolutely glorious.

Yes, but they are also hand built and flaw ridden which may hurt that image of the Mustang.

Is that really the reason? It's the first one! Of course it's going to be flawed. Which, imo, that makes it that much more awesome.

Not sure I know the in's and out's of the why for's when it comes to that.
But yeah, sounds grrrrreeaaat.

Is this common practice for new models?
EDIT: Sorry for double post. Wanted to add that last question but the old comment didn't pop up. Got Kinja'd =(

Is there some camera trickery, or is this thing really that gargantuan?
EDIT: I can't believe they're adding more power to the 5.0. I'm still shocked by how powerful the current GT is.

Sigh of relief. Still like my modified '11 way more. This one still sounds good though.

I'm sure there are a ton of reasons, but the prototype s are not technically finished. I can think of a lot of reasons why a manufacturer wouldn't want unfinished work floating around.

The war goes on.
Having serious thoughts about trading up when it comes out. EcoBoost though, please.

I like that there's a sort of cam lope sound, which is probably achieved with exhaust trickery, but that classical V8 sound is back which I approve of.

Wow the story to how the horse on the original mustang got designed is quite remarkable!

Just finished, THAT SOUND! Much wow! But seriously, I love how snarly it sounds.

I feel like the added width makes it look bulkier.
